Meet Shenandoah (affectionately called Shenni or Shyla by her foster family), a gentle, timid soul with a heart full of love! With her just having her first birthday, Shenandoah is learning to face the world with bravery, supported by her caring foster mom. Her laid-back personality shines as she seeks affection with sweet gazes and gentle nudges. Shen adores playtime at daycare and running freely in the yard—every day is a new adventure!

Shenandoah is kennel-trained but would much rather snuggle in bed with her foster mom. She’s a smart girl who knows commands like sit, place, stay, and out, though she still needs a little reassurance when feeling nervous. She adores her foster mom’s grandbabies and loves being around people she trusts—once you earn her trust, chin and belly rubs will become a daily requirement (she’ll make sure of it!).

Shen would thrive in a home with a confident dog sibling to play with or access to daycare a couple of times a week. She’ll need patience and time to adjust, but the reward is a loving, loyal companion who just wants to be your best friend. Her one birthday wish? A forever home filled with love!
