Dixie is a happy and playful puppy who is mastering the joy of being a pampered pet. She lives with another foster puppy and a resident dog and two cats and she loves them all. She’s good at sharing her treats and toys with them. After a good play session of chase and tug-of-war, she likes to cuddle next to you on the couch or in a bed with one of her animal friends.

Some of Dixie’s favorite things are squeaky toys and all kinds of sticks (Dixie sticks 🙂), Chipper the cat, and snuggling.

Potty training is going great. She goes outside if the weather isn’t too frigid and uses puppy pads when inside. Dixie very rarely barks and just whines a little if she’s left alone. She sleeps quietly in a kennel by the bed at night.

Dixie can startle around loud noises or fast movements and run, so she needs a secure area when outside. She’s learning “come” with the help of treats.

Dixie is sweet-tempered, affectionate, and as cute as can be with silky blonde fur and bright eyes. She is an absolute delight and will fill her new home with love and laughter.
